Seniors (Grade 4+)

All welcome to come and learn to dance by professional dance teachers in our friendly dance studios. We recommend all senior students to take two ballet classes per week to build their technique and strength.

Styles of dance offered-

Classical Ballet ADV Syllabus, Jazz/funk, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, Broadway. Certificate IV in Dance available through our school.

Australian Dance Vision Syllabus

Senior School student assessment curriculum is designed by Australian Dance Vision (ADV). Students work towards their Certificates I-IV in Dance in the Nationally Recognised Training Program. ADV syllabus is mapped (contextualised) to Australian Dance institute’s Cert I-IV in Dance. The program is designed to create a safe environment for students to perform at their most optimum levels.  Students may also begin preliminary training to move towards dance teaching training and specifically Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management delivered by Australian Dance institute NVR-RTO 91600.

Students have a choice between receiving a report with or without a graded mark. The system is built on meeting specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The program has proved to build self-esteem and confidence in students and there is no ‘fail’ in the ADV system.

Students only do assessments for Classical Ballet. Jazz/Funk, Tap and Contemporary classes work towards their open day presentations throughout the year, and the annual performance in Term 4.
