Australian Dance Vision Syllabus

Senior School student assessment curriculum is designed by Australian Dance Vision (ADV). Students work towards their Certificates I-IV in Dance in the Nationally Recognised Training Program. ADV syllabus is mapped (contextualised) to Australian Dance institute’s Cert I-IV in Dance. The program is designed to create a safe environment for students to perform at their most optimum levels.  Students may also begin preliminary training to move towards dance teaching training and specifically Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management delivered by Australian Dance institute NVR-RTO 91600.

Students have a choice between receiving a report with or without a graded mark. The system is built on meeting specific learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The program has proved to build self-esteem and confidence in students and there is no ‘fail’ in the ADV system.

Students only do assessments for Classical Ballet. Jazz/Funk, Tap and Contemporary classes work towards their open day presentations throughout the year, and the annual performance in Term 4.
